Anerobic Exercise as a Tool For Resilience Building

Did you know? I LOVE to play with words!! Word strings are one of my favorite ways to dialog with Papa God, and this is the string that we unrolled during our morning discourse!
Ezra > Nethinim > Swab the deck > Take Every Thought Captive > Wetlands > as opposed to Cooley > Anaerobic >Intentionally Triggered > Resilience Building >
It is 41 degrees at the moment, (9:40 am) and I just got back from a swift and vigorous bike ride. It was a short, sweet trip around the hospital and back to home, and I CHOSE to wear a pair of shorts so I would be impacted by the chill in the air.
41 degrees may seem mild to you, but the weather is a major trigger point for me due to the extremes I endured during the times I was homeless.
As I rode around the hospital, memories of frequent hospitalizations filled my mind and I found myself savoring the joy of the fact that even though I am in an intense season of memory processing, I am NOT hospitalized, I am no longer homeless, and that is due to more than just the fact that I have a roof over my head!!

is seeking to terrorize the soul of our nation, and so my purpose in sharing my story is to offer comfort, hope, and encouragement to those whose minds can be easily triggered by fear, dread, and anxiety when facing a great unknown such as the coronavirus.

I am filled with fierce determination to become a beacon of hope in this time because I have been through and have overcome, and at times, am still overcoming those dark emotions of dread, fear and overwhelming panic.
The forces that tried to take my life failed to take my life, because Jesus, the Christ was with me during those dark days!! He was not only with me, but He held my life in the palm of His hand while He carried me through deep waters of depression, suicidal thoughts, and darkness that sought to destroy me.
Corona is just the most recent attempt to steal the life from our lives, and I’m here to help maintain hope, faith, and trust while we navigate this storm together!!
I have learned that our thoughts “spring up” according to God’s timing and that the sequence of the thoughts we need to take captive are ordered of the Lord!!
I love order, organization, structure, and detail, so LEARNING to be at peace with the chaotic order of my healing journey has been no small assignment…
But, as I rode through my neighborhood this morning, I found great joy in the moment. I was keenly aware of the birds singing, the whir of my bicycle tires, the wind in my face, puffy clouds in the sky, and the sweet, sweet presence of my Papa God who reveled in the joy of my life, AFTER homelessness!!!
He has rescued me from what the Bible calls the “snare of the fowler,” and He has great plans for my life, and for sharing the lessons that we have learned together.
I am forever grateful for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob… who is also known as Our Father, Papa God at Connie’s House!!!
My visions for The Kataluma Adventure come from the conversations I have had with my Papa during those dark days, and one of the favorite promises I cling to is this…
“13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace!!!” (Emphasis mine)
Psalm 45:13-15
The King’s Palace, Kingdom 911, and The Kataluma Adventure. Those are a few of the nuances of God’s Word to me, and I am forever grateful for the threads of promise that have been woven into my place to belong. That being… firmly planted in the heart of my King. Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Most High God!!
If you are hurting today, I want to assure you that there IS life AFTER…. __________________ whatever dark challenge you need to insert into that blank space, and that life can be found in the person of Jesus the Christ.
I think you can see, He is my hero, He is the reason I am still alive and I invite you to get acquainted. He loves you fiercely, and I will continue to remind you of that as we dig into the depths of His word together.
If you have read this far, I pray you have found comfort and reassurance during a time of fear…
From a once fiercely hurting heart, FOR someone with a currently hurting heart…
God loves you, and so do I.
